Back to the beach

We went back to our friend's house at the coast a couple of weeks ago. We lucked out with absolutely gorgeous weather - sunny and in the 60's (sorry east-coasters!). This used to happen in Humboldt County too -- it wasn't uncommon to have a beautiful sunny week in February.

It was Petra's 3rd or 4th time being there, but the first time that we put her down on the sand. She was not amused. It may have been because she was in need of a nap, but she did not like the feel of the sand on her hands or her bare feet. She does love sleeping at the beach, though - must be the sound of the surf.

Griffin, on the other hand, loved the sand, and needed a change of clothes pretty quickly because he ended up with wet sand on every square inch of his body. It was very fun to watch the two of them!
