East coast!

Ahem, catching up a bit. We took a trip to the east coast this year, to visit everyone we could. We flew into Boston, rented a car, and drove to Kerrie and Steven's place in NH. Lots of low-key fun was had (rain meant more time watching movies and relaxing, which was A-OK by us).
BIG horse head.
Petra rode a thoroughbred! She was very excited.
We took a ride on the chair-lift up to a restaurant at the top of the ski slopes in the pouring rain. The kids were good sports about it.
Cora took a lot of her naps this way.
Best porch ever.
Petra sharing her ice cream.
We drove from there to Kerrie's place in CT, stopping at a small children's museum somewhere in MA. Molloy came with us.
Dressed for Grandpa's memorial.

Admiring shoes.
And relaxing afterwards.
Good food!
Next we drove to Blairstown to visit family and spread Grandpa's ashes over one of his favorite places, the Kittatinny Ridge in the Delaware Water Gap.
And then I took a turn in Jonathan's glider too. Pretty amazing.
She napped here, too.
And on to Kenny and Kathy's.
Big John. Little Cora.
The girls saw their first fireflies at dusk. Pretty magical.
The next day we drove back to NH, to George and Fair's farm.
Greeted by newts.
A walk with Pemi, their enormous Tibetan mastiff.
A swim at a nearby lake.
